Any site banned or blocked by google comes in google sandbox. That site will not        come in search results from 6-8 months. Any person using black hat techniques will get his site banned from google.  What this means is if you have done some black hat bad things and you have been caught out by google they throw you in the sandbox, this means that your site will not appear in the SERPs for 6-8 months.  You loose all your ranking and hard work and must start from scratch again.
